Jennifer Wiebe

Jenn Wiebe is a Policy Analyst with Mennonite Central Committee Canada’s Ottawa Office. Over the years, she has gained professional and volunteer experience with non-profit organizations working in human rights, peacebuilding, and Fair Trade, with international travel to Sri Lanka, Nigeria, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Burundi, and the Philippines.

After receiving a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Brock University, Jenn completed a Master of Arts in English Literature from the University of Ottawa and a Postgraduate Diploma in Peace and Conflict Studies from Conrad Grebel University College in Waterloo. She has also completed some training from the Certificate Program in Conflict Management from Conrad Grebel, and participated in the Leadership Academy of the Centre for Global Nonkilling (CGNK).

Prior to working with MCC, Jenn worked as a freelance writer for various non-profits, research assistant in peace curriculum development for Conrad Grebel University College, and Communications and Research Coordinator for Ten Thousand Villages Canada. She has also worked with the Centre for Peace Advancement (CEPAN) in Nigeria, and with International Justice Mission in Washington, DC. Jenn is currently a Board Member for Project Ploughshares.
