Hosted by the UN’s Department of Public Information (DPI), this video briefing—entitled “Culture of Peace: Amplifying the Unseen and Unheard Voices of Peace“—explores what it means to cultivate a culture of peace in our increasingly interconnected world as well as the significance of peace as an avenue for fostering human development.
Moderated by Maria-Luisa Chavez (Chief of NGO relations at DPI), the briefing’s panelists include Cora Weiss, President of the Hague Appeal for Peace; Dot Maver, President of the National Peace Academy; Anwarul Chowdhury, Former Under-Secretary-General and High Representative of the UN; and Michael O’Malley, Program Associate for Soke Gakkai International.
