Power of Peace Network Membership Surpassed Its 1000th Mark!

Sun, 07/18/2010 - 12:50 | CPSC Blogger

To All Peace-lovers/advocates/scholars/builders & PPN users, it gives us great pleasure to let you know that the membership of the 9-month old UNESCO-initiated Power of Peace Network (PPN) website has broken the 1000th mark!!

This represents several things. First, it is clear that there are indeed many of us (individuals and groups) who truly care about peace-building and had taken the initiative to be part of it. There are many approaches to reaching the elusive goal of world peace and equally as many missteps or failures. Nevertheless, slowly but surely we will reach that goal. Secondly, this represents a great opportunity to network with other like-minded individuals and groups.

Don't wait, go ahead and take the next step.

Many have already created a page on the PPN website describing the work they are doing and how toget in touch with them. You or your organization could do the same. A small first step could blossom into a great partnership. Share with us your successes and also frustrations so we all could learn from them.

Lastly, the PPN website is still in its nascent stage, if you have suggestions and comments or if you would like to volunteer your skills and expertises towards improving it, please do not hestitate at all to send an email to ppn@unesco.org.

A great many thanks to everyone who had helped.

Best,
Ming-kuok LIM
